Celebrate 20 years of Beyoncé’s B’DAY album with a special tribute event in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Beyoncé fans are coming together to celebrate 20 years of Beyoncé’s iconic album, B’DAY, on Friday, Sept. 4!

It will take place at The Fruit in Durham at 8 p.m. for a full tribute featuring Syd B’Day performing the album front to back, complete with a live band and dancers.

They will also pay tribute to the late Dolly Parton.

“She was very instrumental in helping out with Beyoncé’s album and embracing her in the country world when she dropped ‘Cowboy Carter’,” event organizer Miriam Tolbert said. “And of course Beyoncé remade Jolene and Dolly is featured on the album. We’re going to have a special tribute to Dolly Parton because she’s somebody who crossed all generations, all genres.”
