RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A fire in a Raleigh neighborhood sparked a major response from the city’s fire department Thursday afternoon.

According to the Raleigh Fire Department, crews responded to a report of a fire on Ivy League Lane, just off of Louisburg Road, around 4:30 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found a two-story house with a fire on the second floor. Fire officials said there was “significant” damage to the roof of the house. More than 45 firefighters responded to the scene.

No one was injured in the blaze, according to Raleigh officials, and they do not believe anyone was in the home during the incident.
The cause of the fire is unknown at the time of publication and the investigation into its origin is ongoing.
