According to the City of Raleigh, the break and repair is happening on I-440 eastbound at Glen Eden Drive. Raleigh Water first got a call about low system pressure there at 6:56 a.m., the city said. Crews responded to the scene, and at 7:45 a.m. they found the location of the break.

Glen Eden Drive crosses I-440 via a bridge at that location, and due to that, North Carolina Department of Transportation crews were also called in “to inspect the repair and ensure it does not affect the road structure around the bridge.”

Detours for traffic on the bridge utilize Ridge Road to Lake Boone Trail on the east side and Blue Ridge Road on the west side.
