DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Durham said one person was injured in a mid-afternoon shooting Wednesday.

The incident was reported as a gunshot wound at 2:55 p.m. in the 2400 block of Glenbrook Drive in northeast Durham just off East Club Drive, according to a Durham Police Department news release.
“Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who had been shot,” the news release said.

The wounded man was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that police said do not appear to be life-threatening.
The shooting happened just off East Club Drive between U.S. 501 Business and Midland Terrance.

Officer said no other information was available on Wednesday afternoon.
“This remains an active and ongoing investigation,” the news release said.
