Memorial Day trending soggier, as unsettled pattern continues in central NC

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Overnight will feature a few isolated showers before a more significant rain chance pushes in for Memorial Day Monday.

Temperatures will rise into the lower 80s, with scattered to numerous showers and storms beginning around lunch time Monday and lasting through the evening hours. 

That looks to be the rainiest day of the week. Rain chances last all the way until the start of June, the next Monday, but they slowly get lower and lower each day. 

Temperatures also begin to trend downward, with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s as we end May and begin the new month.

An additional 1 to 2 inches or more is possible between now and then. 

 FORECAST

OVERNIGHT will be mostly cloudy with an isolated shower or two. The low will be 68. Winds will blow lightly out of the south. 

MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY will be mostly cloudy with scattered to numerous showers and storms. The high will be 82. Winds will be 5 to 10 miles per hour out of the southwest.

TUESDAY will be mostly cloudy with another round of showers. The high will be 84. Winds will be 5 to 10 miles per hour out of the southwest.
