Dawn Lynette Mangum was first arrested by the Wake County Sheriff’s Office in September 2024 after being accused of filing a fraudulent deed that summer on a home owned by a Raleigh dentist. That December, according to court records, she was indicted on the felony charge of attaining property under false pretense.
Mangum, who posted $115,000 secured bond, was scheduled to have an arraignment in Wake County court on March 3, 2025, but did not appear, prompting Judge Vinston Rozier Jr. to issue an order for her arrest and increase her bond to $500,000 secured.
Court records show Mangum was taken back into custody for failing to appear on a felony charge on May 22.
