It won’t be a significant amount of rain, and most of it will come overnight Wednesday into Thursday, but it will come with cooler temperatures on Thursday.
Beyond that, a big warm-up will begin this weekend and will lead into a long stretch of near 90-degree days next week in central North Carolina.
The majority of Wednesday will be dry, and the majority of Thursday will be dry. So don’t let the rain chances ruin any plans. Most of the rain will fall while you’re sleeping Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Thursday will be cooler with plenty of sunshine and highs near 70 degrees. We’ll end the work week with a lot of sunshine and mid-70s on Friday before a return to warmer weather arrives this weekend.
Saturday will see highs in the middle 80s with upper-80s temperatures on Sunday. Then the 90s and slightly higher humidity push in for Monday and much of next week.
No major rain chances on the 10-day forecast after Wednesday overnight into Thursday. Just a few scattered rain odds by the end of next week. Overall, a ridge of high pressure will dominate the weather pattern, keeping us warm and dry.
