NHL Stanley Cup Final tickets on sale Saturday for Lenovo Center, T-Mobile Arena games

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — After the Carolina Hurricanes stomped Montreal in the Eastern Conference Final of the Stanley Cup, the championship round returns to Raleighwood.

Tickets for the NHL Stanley Cup Final go on sale Saturday afternoon for the matchup between the Hurricanes and the Las Vegas Knights. This is the first time in history that the two teams duke it out at this level.

Also, this is the first time in 20 years that the Hurricanes have a chance at hoisting the championship trophy.

The Canes took down the Canadiens 6-1 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final on Friday night in the Lenovo Center. They started off the first period successfully firing 3 goals against Canadiens goalie Jakub Dobeš unanswered — carrying the momentum over from the Game 5 shutout. The Habs did manage to score 1 goal, but in the third period when the Canes were already 5 goals ahead.

Raleigh remained electrifying after the huge win, especially outside of the Lenovo Center where fans were seen celebrating the victory by putting up the latest storm warning to alert others in the hockey world that the Stanley Cup could return to the Hurricanes.
