CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young spent Saturday giving back to the Charlotte community, hosting his third annual free youth football camp at the Harris YMCA through his Young 9 Foundation.

Despite some early weather concerns, kids and families packed the area, with lines stretching through the parking lot as young players waited for the chance to meet and learn from the Panthers quarterback.
The camp is part of Young’s growing Young 9 Foundation, which focuses on raising awareness about mental health.

Young says it’s an issue that affects everyone and deserves more attention.
The Harris YMCA was a fitting location for the event. Young’s father said Bryce began his own football journey at a YMCA, making it especially meaningful to bring the camp back to a place that helps introduce young athletes to the game.
