Overnight rain chance followed by cooler Thursday in central NC

There’s a rain chance on the way, but you’ll likely sleep right through it. An approaching cold front brings clouds and scattered showers late Wednesday evening into very early Thursday. The daylight hours of Thursday shouldn’t see any rain at all.

Behind the cold front, temperatures will be a little cooler. Highs will only rise to around 70 degrees on Thursday afternoon under mostly clear skies.

The middle 70s stick around through Friday. Then a return to much warmer weather arrives.

Saturday calls for the mid-80s before the upper 80s on Sunday. We’ll make a run at the lower 90s on Monday through Wednesday of next week.

A slight chance for a few scattered showers will drop our highs back into the middle 80s to end next week. But a very warm and very dry pattern looks to be setting up again.
