On Friday, at 5:36 p.m., Winston-Salem officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Subway located on 1527 Peter’s Creek Parkway.

Robbery

A customer said a man and a woman came in, and the man robbed him.

When the customer tried to confront the suspects, the man pulled out a gun. The two suspects then drove away. The business itself was not robbed.

WSPD detectives identified 26-year-old Jashawn Jawan Spruill and 28-year-old Katlynn Dazjahnae Bethea as potential suspects and identified the suspect vehicle.

A warrant was obtained for Spruill for robbery with a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed gun.

On Saturday, around 6:57 a.m., WSPD officers found the suspect vehicle parked in front of a home on Northwest Boulevard.

When officers tried to approach it, the vehicle drove away, and a pursuit began.

Pursuit

The pursuit entered US 421 northbound from Peter’s Creek Parkway. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle going west on US 421.

The suspect continued to flee, and a WSPD officer used his vehicle to try to stop the suspect vehicle and end the pursuit, police say.

During the maneuver, both vehicles hit the center concrete median barrier, and the officer’s vehicle overturned onto the roof.
