WENDELL, N.C. (WNCN) — A crash that left a car upside down, lying on trees, closed two lanes of U.S. 264 in eastern Wake County Saturday evening.

The wreck was reported around 8:15 p.m. along U.S. 264 near exit 13, east of the U.S. 64 Business interchange, according to the NCDOT.
The details of the crash were not immediately available, but a CBS 17 reporter passing the scene spotted a car off the road lying upside down on trees. There were also several broken trees just off the right side of the road.

Eastbound traffic was backed up more than a mile before the left lane reopened around 9 p.m.
