CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — The Carolina Panthers were rewarded for their division championship last season and landed three primetime games for 2026-27, the team announced Thursday.

Coming off an 8-9 record and playoff appearance, Carolina hosts the Detroit Lions Oct. 4 for Sunday Night Football on NBC. Those games are typically the highest-viewed TV show each week during the NFL regular season.
Then on Oct. 29, the Panthers travel to Green Bay for the second consecutive year for a Thursday Night Football game that airs on Amazon Prime.
The team’s final scheduled primetime game is Nov. 30 when it takes on division rival Tampa Bay on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
The three night games are Carolina’s most since 2016. Last year there was just one, a Monday Night Football loss to the 49ers.

The Panthers got nine home games, and play both their season opener and finale at Bank of America Stadium. They face the Bears Week 1 and the Falcons in Week 18, time to be determined.
Since Carolina is participating in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, they get four preseason games. It plays Houston on Friday, Aug. 28, for the final tuneup and only home exhibition.
The NFC South is partnered with are the NFC North and AFC North.
Most NFL teams create elaborate videos to go along with their schedule releases. This year, the Panthers paid homage to the “Jackass” TV show and movie franchise by having the players blow up items that are associated with each opponent. For the Saints, it was Mardi Gras beads, and for the Seahawks, coffee beans.
