Breeze announces new route between RDU and Ohio city

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — There will soon be a new destination that travelers can get to directly from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Low-cost airline Breeze Airways announced Wednesday that it will begin nonstop service between RDU and Dayton International Airport in Ohio beginning this fall. According to the carrier, the route will be flown on Mondays and Fridays starting on Nov. 6.

The destination marks the latest expansion of Breeze’s footprint at RDU. The airline serves dozens of cities with nonstop service from the Triangle and is set to begin routes to Tallahassee, Fla. and Birmingham, Ala. next week.

Dayton will be the third Ohio city that will have direct service to RDU on Breeze.
