DUDLEY, N.C. (WNCN) — A Wayne County woman was so excited after winning a lottery prize that she couldn’t stop shaking.

Alina Gonzalez of Dudley bought a $5 Mega Bucks scratch off ticket at the Dudley Food Mart on Fox Drive, which ended up winning the first $200,000 top prize in the game.
“I’ve got this adrenaline running through my body. I’m still a little shaky,” Gonzalez told the North Carolina Education Lottery. “You don’t expect to win but I guess you never really know.”

On Thursday, Gonzalez went to lottery headquarters in Raleigh to claim her prize. She took home $144,021 after the required state and federal taxes.
The Dudley woman said she plans to use her winnings to buy a home.
According to NC Lottery, the Mega Bucks game debuted this month with five top prizes of $200,000. After Gonzalez claimed her prize, four are left to be claimed.
