RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Raleigh on Monday evening, according to police.

The crash happened in the 3200 block of Atlantic Avenue near Bramer Drive, the Raleigh Police Department said.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Authorities have not said whether any charges are expected.
Atlantic Avenue was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene, but has since reopened.
