Suspect at large after stabbing in Wake County leaves man seriously hurt: Sheriff

WENDELL, N.C. (WNCN) — A suspect is at large after a man was seriously hurt in a stabbing in eastern Wake County Wednesday morning, the sheriff’s office said.

According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just after 10 a.m. to a report of a stabbing in the 6300 block of Old Mill Farm Drive near Wendell. They found a man suffering from an apparent stab wound, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

As of late Wednesday morning, deputies remain at the scene to determine what led to the incident. No arrests have been made.

Deputies described the suspect in the stabbing as a thin, bald man who was last seen wearing sunglasses, a tan and white sweatshirt with the words “Washington DC” on it, short blue shorts, white tube socks, and blue and white tennis shoes.

Anyone who sees the suspect should call 911 immediately. Do not approach the suspect.

The sheriff’s office is also asking residents in the nearby area of Robertson Pond and Edgemont Road to be alert and call 911 if they notice anything suspicious.
