FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) — A Wake County woman was arrested Friday after being indicted in the death of her son last year, court records show.
According to court records, 52-year-old Holly Delys Wren of Fuquay-Varina is accused of killing her son, 12-year-old Jacob Wren.
The elder Wren allegedly did not seek medical attention for Jacob’s diabetes, which caused his death on March 24, 2025, according to court records.

Records show Wren was indicted on Tuesday in Wake County Superior Court on the charges of second-degree murder and intentional child abuse with serious physical injury.

Wren was taken into custody three days later, on Friday, according to court records.
According to court records, Wren was not given bond. She is scheduled to make her first appearance in Wake County court on Monday morning.
