RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was taken to a hospital after he was injured in a Raleigh shooting early Saturday morning, police said.

The incident was reported just after 3:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of Brockton Drive, near Hoyle Drive, according to the Raleigh Police Department.
The shooting victim was hit by gunfire in his upper extremities, police said. He was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to officers.

Police were still at the scene as of 7:15 a.m. investigating the shooting, which happened near the Green Road Community Center, officers said.
