RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Crews were busy with two fires on the same street Wednesday night, the Raleigh Fire Department said.

According to Raleigh fire, crews received the call about the first fire at a home on Althorp Drive at 7:39 p.m. and they were told about the second home on the same street at 7:52 p.m.
Both homes caught fire on the roof, which is where the majority of the damage to the homes was, Raleigh fire said.

An investigation into the cause of the fire determined that lightning struck both of the homes, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
