Woman injured after late-night shooting in Durham; no suspect announced, police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A late-night shooting in Durham sent a woman to the hospital on Thursday, police said.

According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded around 10:46 p.m. to a report of a gunshot wound on the 1300 block of Drew Street.

When officers arrived on scene, police said they found a woman who had been shot.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, police said.

No suspects have been announced, and investigators have not released additional details about what led to the shooting.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” the Durham Police Department said Friday morning in response to a media inquiry. “And we have no further information to release at this time.”
