APEX, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Apex said Saturday they are seeking information from the public in an E-bike and vehicle crash investigation.

The incident was reported by officers just before 3:25 p.m. at the Apex Peakway and Branch Line Lane intersection, according to an Apex Police Department news release.
The crash, which happened near North Salem Street just north of downtown Apex, involved a teen riding an E-bike “in a reckless manner,” the news release said.
The teen was apparently not seriously injured because police said in the release that he “left the scene before police arrived.”

“He was riding a black bike and is described as a Caucasian male who has long scraggly hair wearing a black helmet,” police said in the news release.
Police said they “would like to recognize the juvenile was wearing a helmet but want to ensure that he isn’t injured.”
Officers said anyone who saw the crash or knows the teen should contact the Apex Police Department at 919-362-8661.
