WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Investigators are searching for an inmate who escaped from a prison in Winston-Salem, according to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction.

Officials say that Raymond Warren, 35, of Davidson County, escaped from the Forsyth Correctional Center on Friday morning.
Warren is described as a white man who is 5-feet-4-inches tall, 160 pounds, with tattoos on his neck and face. New photos released of Warren show more details of his facial tattoos, which include those on his forehead with “Summer” over his right eyebrow and on his right cheek.
Warren was serving a five-year sentence for larceny and was scheduled to be released in 2028.

The Forsyth Correctional Center is listed as a minimum security prison for men with a capacity for 248 inmates. The prison allows inmates out on work release jobs and to assist on road squads.
His escape is under investigation by the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction. Anyone with information about Warren’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact Forsyth Correctional Center at 336-896-7041.
