Three taken to hospitals after Cary assault; 4th person flees before officers arrive: Police

CARY, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Cary said they are investigating an assault near a mobile home community that sent three men to hospitals late Saturday night.

The incident was reported around 11:50 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Reed Street, adjacent to Mobile Estates off Southeast Maynard Road near East Chatham Street, according to a Cary Police Department news release.

Upon arrival, officers found three men who were involved in a “physical altercation” with another person, police said.

The fourth person left the scene before police arrived, the news release said.

All three men were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening, police said.
