The air is thick as high humidity returns to central North Carolina, making it not only feel uncomfortable, but fueling scattered chances for rain.

The stationary boundary that has been keeping our rain chances higher is going to be pushed out of our area by the Bermuda high, a high pressure that typically is centered near Bermuda, but will be moving west.
As the high gets closer to us, our rain chances will be lower and more isolated, while our temperatures will increase.
By Thursday, highs will climb back into the 90s, and the 90s will stick around through the weekend into next week. The summertime heat returns! As the humidity remains higher, it will easily feel like the upper 90s to near 100.
In addition to the summertime heat, our summertime pattern of storms returns as well.
No day will have a washout, but an isolated shower or storm is possible every afternoon, capable of producing isolated gusty conditions in addition to localized heavy rain.

THURSDAY will be partly cloudy with just an isolated shower or storm. The high will be 90. Winds will be out of the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
FRIDAY will be partly cloudy with just an isolated shower or storm. The high will be 91. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
