Hot and humid weather continues for central North Carolina!
The heat and humidity also continue to fuel chances for strong storms, which we will have to deal with tonight as a complex of storms moves south. Damaging wind gusts remain possible until storms ease up and dissipate after midnight.

Storms are again possible Wednesday, but should be more isolated in nature. Gusty winds are still possible as high temperatures quickly climb back into the mid-90s, creating a rich environment for thunderstorms to quickly strengthen.
Thursday will be a drier day, but still hot and humid with highs in the mid-90s and feeling like the triple digits.
A cold front then arrives Friday, bringing a slight uptick in rain chances and a slight drop in temperatures and humidity in time for the weekend. Upper 80s return for one day on Saturday before surging right back into the lower 90s Sunday.
Everyday has at least a pop-up rain chance until the middle half of next week. By then, more sunshine and dry weather should return to the mix before signs point towards another surge of intense heat for the second half of the month.
FORECAST
OVERNIGHT will be mostly cloudy with gusty storms ending after midnight. The low will be 74. Winds will be southwest 5 miles per hour.

WEDNESDAY will be partly cloudy with a few showers and storms. The high will be 96 with a heat index of 100. Winds will be out of the west at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
THURSDAY will be partly cloudy. The high will be 95 with a heat index of 101. Winds will be out of the west at 5 miles per hour.
