RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A visitor to Food Lion in Raleigh is now more than $1 million richer after buying a lucky Cash 5 ticket at the store and winning Friday night, North Carolina lottery officials said.

The big winner purchased the winning ticket at the Food Lion at 9525 Strickland Road, a N.C. Education Lottery news release said.
The Carolina Cash 5 jackpot on Friday night was at $1,138,307, officials said.
The ticket matched all five numbers in Friday’s Cash 5 drawing, with the odds of such an occurrence at 1 in 962,598, the lottery news release said.

The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.

After the big win on Friday night, the jackpot has reset, starting over at $100,000, the news release said.
Cash 5 is one of six North Carolina lottery games in which players have the option of buying their tickets at store or online through the lottery’s website or with the N.C. Lottery Official Mobile App.
