RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 The Wake Tech Eagles baseball team left for a bus to Oklahoma on Wednesday to make their first college World Series tournament appearance.<\/p>

The Eagles won their first National Junior College Athletic Association Region 10 Division II championship with a victory over Brunswick Community College, earning them a spot in the NJCAA World Series, according to the school.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis championship is about more than wins,\u201d Wake Tech Athletic Director Robin Pate said in a statement. \u201cOur student\u2011athletes are succeeding academically and athletically and that balance is something we are incredibly proud of at Wake Tech.\u201d<\/p>

The game is scheduled to take place at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid, Oklahoma, on Saturday at 8 p.m. EST. It can be streamed with a digital ticket purchase through the NJCAA Network, and the results will be updated in real-time online.<\/p>\n
