WILLOW SPRING, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 One person was shot in southern Wake County late Friday night, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

Deputies said they were called to the 2400 block of Bud Lipscomb Road near Old Stage Road around 10 p.m. Friday after getting a report that someone was shot. Once on scene, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the Wake County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

One person was detained by the sheriff\u2019s office as a person of interest. As of late Friday night, deputies were still on scene investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting.<\/p>\n
