GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 A massive Goldsboro house fire early Saturday morning could be seen lighting up the city\u2019s skyline as the blaze destroyed a home and displaced three people.<\/p>

The fire was reported just before 12:15 a.m. Saturday at 413 Magnolia St., according to the Goldsboro Police Department.<\/p>\n

When crews arrived, flames were seen coming from the two-story home, officials said.<\/p>\n

Three fire engines were already sent to the scene, but another engine was quickly requested, increasing the total firefighters to 17, the news release said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirefighters initiated an interior attack but backed out due to conditions of the structure and the fire,\u201d officials said in the news release.<\/p>\n

Over time, the fire spread throughout the house, causing it to collapse.<\/p>\n

Video from a few blocks away by David Brumley\u00a0showed flames shooting into the sky and a large orange glow around the scene of the house fire.<\/p>

Three people were displaced and are being assisted by the Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported.<\/p>

The fire was brought under control at 2:19 a.m. Units remained on scene until 6:57 a.m. to salvage and overhaul the structure.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire was not known as of Saturday night but it is still under investigation.<\/p>\n
