Conditions should slowly improve Sunday morning, although scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely to redevelop during the afternoon and evening as daytime heating increases. That\u2019s if the wedge breaks.<\/p>\n

By Memorial Day Monday, the cool wedge finally breaks down and warmer air returns. Temperatures will climb back into the 80s, but the warmer and more humid pattern will also increase the chance for scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.<\/p>\n

Rain chances are expected to remain elevated through much of next week as a nearly stationary boundary lingers nearby. Because there is no strong cold front moving through, pinpointing exactly when and where showers develop will remain difficult. Instead, expect an unsettled pattern with periodic rounds of showers and storms through Thursday.<\/p>\n

The good news is that rain chances should begin decreasing by next Friday into next weekend, with temperatures remaining seasonably warm in the 80s.<\/p>\n
