MONTREAL (WNCN) \u2014 Another overtime victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night gave the Carolina Hurricanes a 2-1 series lead in the 2026 NHL Eastern Conference Final. They\u2019ll look to increase that lead Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The Canes (54-22-7) and Canadiens (48-25-10) are set to face off Wednesday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Puck drop is scheduled for shortly after 8 p.m.<\/p>\n

The two teams were knotted at 2-2 when regulation ended Monday night, forcing an extra frame. In the overtime period, Andrei Svechnikov shot one past Montreal goalie Jakub Dobes to give Carolina the victory and put them ahead in the series.<\/p>\n
