RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 A girl was taken to a Raleigh-area hospital after she was hit by a car in northeast Raleigh Saturday night, police said.<\/p>

The crash was reported just after 9:15 p.m. along Buffaloe Road near the intersection with Forestville Road, just east of Interstate 540, according to the Raleigh Police Department.<\/p>\n

The crash happened when four juveniles \u201cran across the road in the dark,\u201d and one was hit by a vehicle, police said.<\/p>\n

The victim, whose exact age was not known late Saturday, was taken to a nearby hospital after she suffered injuries that do not appear life-threatening, police said.<\/p>

The driver of the car that hit the juvenile female remained at the scene after the crash, officers said.<\/p>
