RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 Now that the Carolina Hurricanes are officially back in the Stanley Cup final for the first time in 20 years, fans are scrambling to get tickets to the highly coveted NHL championship series.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, fans said they are feeling a lot of excitement and relief that the team has made it this far. However, fans said they were on the edge of their seats during the playoffs.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was exciting, especially those overtime games, and we got a little nervous after game one. But our guys, they pull it out. We have a great team. We\u2019re just very proud of our team,\u201d said Ben Phillips,\u00a0a Raleigh resident.<\/p>\n

And now, tens of thousands of people are trying to snag a ticket for the Stanley Cup series. Earlier Saturday, tickets for Tuesday\u2019s game are averaging just a little over $1,000 \u2014 all the way up to at least $2,300.<\/p>\n

One longtime fan said he is already on the hunt for a ticket, but on the secondary market. By 9:45 p.m. Saturday, all but a handful of tickets for Game 1 on Tuesday appeared to only be available on the resale market.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

\u201cI\u2019m hoping that there is going to be a chance where I\u2019m going to get to know somebody who gets to know somebody who might be able to help me out,\u201d said Adrian Travers,\u00a0a Raleigh resident.<\/p>\n

Season ticket holders were granted access to tickets at noon, and then the general public at 3 pm. According to some of the websites, like Vividseats, the tickets are selling out fast.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am seeing this as just absolute providence for our team. I believe this is a generational mark for that next generation of Caniacs like myself that are going to get the chance to experience this for the first time ever,\u201d said Travers.<\/p>\n

The fastest-selling tickets? That is a game that may or may not happen \u2014 a potential Game 7 scheduled for Wednesday, June 17.<\/p>\n

The Local, a sports bar near the Lenovo Center, has been popular with \u2018Canes fans throughout the NHL playoffs. It\u2019s a trend that is expected to continue through the Stanley Cup final.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cLast night was honestly awesome. I mean the first Stanley Cup final appearance in 20 years, and this energy was amazing. People came in ready to go and honestly, I couldn\u2019t have asked for a better crowd here,\u201d said Robert Moss, an employee at The Local.<\/p>\n

Fans said even if they cannot find a ticket, they will be at bars or out in crowds cheering on our Hurricanes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to be downtown with my kids. We\u2019re going to be having an awesome time and we\u2019re going to be making all the noise to where they\u2019re going to hear us all the way from downtown into the Lenovo center,\u201d said Adrian Travers.<\/p>\n

Carolina has a sellout streak, dating back to 2023, with the best home record in the NHL.<\/p>\n
