RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 A cold front will cool off temperatures and lower humidity temporarily in central North Carolina on Tuesday, but it won\u2019t last long as some June heat will hit by the end of the week.<\/p>

High temperatures will stay in the 70s on Tuesday with low humidity and plenty of sunshine. This is actually a little below the average high of 84 degrees for this time of year. By the end of the week, however, temperatures will climb into the 90s.<\/p>\n

Great news for any Caniacs tailgating or going to watch parties ahead of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Wednesday morning will be much cooler, down into the 50s, before we slowly start to warm back up by the afternoon. Highs will reach the low 80s on Wednesday and then mid-80s on Thursday. That\u2019s the only break from the heat we get as highs climb quickly for Friday and the weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A strong ridge of high pressure will develop in the middle levels of the atmosphere, which will suppress rain chances but allow our temperatures to climb quickly! Expect hot and humid weather through the weekend with highs reaching the mid-90s. A few showers are possible next week as the pattern shifts slightly, but we will still stay warmer than average in the 90s.<\/p>
