HENDERSON, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 Newly released video shows two Vance County inmates escaping from jail Wednesday afternoon, the FBI said.<\/p>

The video, provided by the FBI on Thursday, shows 33-year-old Michael Lewis Miles Jr. and 21-year-old LiShawn Knott running through a hallway of the Vance County Detention Center in Henderson. The pair appear alone and are wearing orange jumpsuits and while unrestrained.<\/p>\n

The FBI released the video the day after the Vance County Sheriff\u2019s Office said Miles and Knott escaped around 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

Court records show Knott is facing charges connected to a shootout in a parking lot and being found with a stolen vehicle and drugs. Miles is facing charges in connection to a drug raid. Both have previous felony convictions.<\/p>\n

Knott is described by the FBI as standing 5\u201911\u201d and weighing about 160 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and multiple face tattoos, including a cross on his forehead.<\/p>\n

Miles is described by the FBI as standing 6\u20190\u2033 and weighing about 180 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and neck tattoo.<\/p>

Both Knott and Miles are considered armed and dangerous, according to officials.<\/p>\n

A $40,000 reward is being offered by officials for information that leads to Knott and Miles\u2019 arrests.<\/p>\n

Residents and business owners are asked by officials to lock their vehicles, close their garage doors, and lock up their sheds.<\/p>\n

Officials are warning anyone who sees Knott and Miles to not approach them. If either inmate is spotted, call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 252-492-1925.<\/p>\n

The FBI, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Vance County Sheriff\u2019s Office, and Henderson Police Department are searching for Knott and Miles.<\/p>\n

To assist in the search, according to the FBI, digital billboards advertising the $40,000 reward have been placed across the state.<\/p>
