KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 The Knightdale Fire Department has made two leadership promotions, town officials said Wednesday.<\/p>\n

William Boggs, a 32-year veteran firefighter who has served as Knightdale\u2019s battalion chief since 2020, was named assistant fire chief, according to Town of Knightdale officials.<\/p>\n

According to town officials, Boggs will oversee the department\u2019s administrative and support services functions.<\/p>\n

Town officials said Capt. Mark Guy, a 20-year veteran firefighter who has been a member of the Knightdale Firefighter since 2013, was named battalion chief.<\/p>\n

Guy will be the B Shift battalion chief and be responsible for overseeing shift operations, according to town officials.<\/p>\n
