SUPPLY, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 Authorities are searching for two missing North Carolina children who are believed to be in danger, prompting a statewide Amber Alert early Friday morning.<\/p>

According to the Brunswick County Sheriff\u2019s Office, 9-year-old Chance Tyler Wilcox and 11-year-old Wyatt Christopher Mark Wilcox were last seen on Thursday in the Oak Island-Supply area.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe the children are with their father, 35-year-old Brandon Wilcox, who allegedly violated a court-issued non-secure custody order.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said concerns about the children\u2019s safety and welfare were raised during contact with the Department of Social Services, prompting an immediate law enforcement response.<\/p>\n

Deputies attempted to locate Brandon Wilcox and the children at a home on Southeast Frying Pan Road NEAR Supply, but they were no longer there when authorities arrived, according to deputies.<\/p>

Officials said the children\u2019s current whereabouts are unknown. Investigators have not determined a direction of travel or the vehicle, if any, being used.<\/p>\n

Chance Wilcox is described as 4-foot-8 tall with brown hair and brown eyes. Wyatt Wilcox is described as 5-foot-1 tall, with brown hair and brown eyes and wearing glasses.<\/p>\n

Brandon Wilcox is described as 6-foot-3 feet tall with brown hair and blue eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease do not approach,\u201d the Brunswick County Sheriff\u2019s Office said in a social media post. \u201cContact law enforcement immediately with any sightings or information.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brunswick County Sheriff\u2019s Office at (910) 253-2777, call 911 or contact the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.<\/p>
