NORTH CAROLINA (QUEEN CITY NEWS) \u2014 Authorities have released new surveillance video showing the moments before two inmates escaped from a North Carolina detention center.<\/p>

FBI Charlotte said the newly released footage shows Michael Lewis Miles Jr. and Lishawn Knott running through a hallway inside the Vance County Detention Center just before their escape.<\/p>\n

According to the Vance County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the two men escaped on June 3, around 2 p.m. Both were being held on multiple state drug trafficking and gun-related charges at the time.<\/p>\n

Miles, 33, is described as 6\u20190\u2033 tall and about 180 pounds, with black and brown eyes and a prominent neck tattoo. Knott, 21, is about 5\u201911\u201d tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and numerous face tattoos, including a large cross on his forehead.<\/p>\n

Authorities warn that both men should be considered armed and dangerous.<\/p>\n

In an effort to widen the search, the FBI says new digital billboards are going up across North Carolina, advertising a reward of up to $40,000 for information leading to their arrests. <\/p>
