The summer-like heat and humidity are returning for midweek.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wednesday will see highs in the lower to middle 90s under mostly clear skies. Clouds will slowly start to increase on Thursday with a few scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. The high will rival record values again, with heat index values well into the triple digits.<\/p>

Our best rain chance in awhile arrives on Friday as tropical moisture moves across the Carolinas and interacts with an approaching cold front. As much as 0.50\u201d to 0.75\u201d of rain is expected, with a low-end severe weather risk Thursday into Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Slightly lower humidity and highs in the upper 80s arrive just in time for the Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Championship parade Saturday. It\u2019ll also remain dry all day long.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Father\u2019s Day Sunday also looks dry with highs returning to the lower 90s.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll be back in the middle to upper 90s by Monday before settling into the upper 80s and lower 90s through the week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
