(WNCN) \u2014 The Duke University Health System is seeking more than 100 new acute care health beds at its main hospital, state officials said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/raleighmovingnews.com\/?p=351\">Rory McIlroy has a bad finish for a rough start at the PGA Championship<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The healthcare system filed a certificate of need application to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, requesting 135 acute care beds at Duke University Hospital, according to state officials.<\/p>\n<p>The cost of the Duke Hospital project is $35.9 million and it would be completed by July 2028 if approved, according to the NCDHHS.<\/p>\n<p>State officials said a public hearing on the Duke Hospital project is scheduled for June 17 at 1 p.m. in room 1040 of the Duke University Health System Building located at 4825 Creekstone Parkway in Durham.<\/p>\n<p>The healthcare system also filed a certificate of need application with the NCDHHS for 22 acute health care beds at Duke Regional Hospital, according to state officials.<\/p>\n<p>If approved, according to NCDHHS, the Duke Regional project would be completed by September 2028.
