TORONTO \u2014 The NHL\u2019s newest Hall of Fame class has been announced, but once again Rod Brind\u2019Amour\u2019s name is nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n

Brind\u2019Amour, who has been eligible for induction since 2013, remains on the outside looking in.<\/p>\n

Rod Brind\u2019Amour compiled an impressive r\u00e9sum\u00e9 as a player and as a coach that includes two Stanley Cup championships, more than 1,400 games played, two Selke Trophies as the league\u2019s top defensive forward, 452 goals and 732 assists. He is the cornerstone of the Carolina Hurricanes franchise.<\/p>\n

Despite those accomplishments, Hall of Fame recognition continues to elude the former captain.<\/p>\n

Brind\u2019Amour\u2019s impact on the game has only grown since his playing days ended. As head coach of the Hurricanes, he has helped transform Carolina into one of the NHL\u2019s most consistent contenders, adding another chapter to an already distinguished hockey career.<\/p>\n

For many in the hockey world, the question remains unchanged: What more does Rod Brind\u2019Amour have to do to earn a place in the Hockey Hall of Fame?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The latest inductees included long time executive Brian Burke, Patrice Bergeron, Cindy Curley, Carey Price, Pekka Rinne, and Keith Tkachuk.<\/p>\n
