There is a marginal risk (level 1) of severe weather for damaging winds on Sunday, before the heat becomes the major story next week. July arrives on Wednesday and brings with it a high near 100 degrees.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s followed by four days of 100+ degree heat, with multiple records possible during one of the biggest heat waves of the year so far.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With hot, high-pressure overhead, rain chances will be limited for the first week of the new month. But there will still be scattered storms around on July Fourth, with temperatures as hot as 101 degrees.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The heat begins to ease only a little into early the next week as highs fall to the middle 90s.\u00a0<\/p>\n

SUNDAY\u00a0<\/strong>will be partly cloudy with a few stronger storms later in the day and evening. The high will be\u00a093.<\/strong>\u00a0Winds will be west at 5 miles per hour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

MONDAY\u00a0<\/strong>will be mostly clear with isolated storms. The high will be\u00a092.<\/strong>\u00a0Winds will be northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.<\/p>\n
