KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (WJZY) \u2014 Some of the founding fathers, including Sam Adams and George Washington, made their own brew.<\/p>

Old Armor Brewery is joining the celebration with a new beer to mark the nation\u2019s 250th birthday.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery time we pour it, and we take a sip of it as a remembrance beer to honor all the service and sacrifice that and everything that the founding fathers went through,\u201d said Assistant Brewer Alex Mack.<\/p>\n

For the last two months, the brewery has been selling its newest product- America 250.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 250 is a post-revolutionary style beer, so it uses grain and has a lot of rice and corn adjunct lagers in it, which wasn\u2019t a beer that they drank during the Revolutionary War, but it was made by people coming to the 13 colonies after it was founded. So without the founding fathers, doing what they did and all the service and sacrifice they went to be able to make America what it is today. This beer wouldn\u2019t have come into creation,\u201d Mack said.<\/p>

And it\u2019s a top choice for drinkers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re like, \u2018hey, try this one out,\u2019 and they\u2019re like, \u2018you know what that was actually pretty good? Let me go for another one,’\u201d Mack said.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust to pay homage to America and our country\u2019s 250th anniversary. I just wanted to try to taste, and it is delicious,\u201d said Stephen Sharpe. It was his first time trying the beer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Although the beer has been on tap for a short time, the brewers say they won\u2019t be making it for long unless the demand is there.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDepending on how quickly it runs out, we may end up doing another batch of it,\u201d Mack said.\u00a0<\/p>
