(WNCN) \u2014 Intense rain and wind swept through the Triangle Monday, taking down several trees and leaving thousands without power.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/raleighmovingnews.com\/?p=5239\">More video expected during hearing in case against man accused of killing Charlie Kirk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t mess with Mother Nature,\u201d resident Rick Turlington said.<\/p>\n<p>Turlington lives in the Summerfield neighborhood off of Poole Road, and was sitting on his couch watching TV when suddenly a tree went through his roof.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWind came, tree fell; it was just- I don\u2019t know what they call it, but it just happened.
