DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 A verbal argument between relatives turned violent Tuesday morning in Durham County, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

Deputies were called to a home in the 6000 block of Burgundy Road around 11:30 a.m. According to investigators, a \u201cverbal altercation between two family members\u201d escalated, leading to a 27-year-old man being shot.<\/p>\n

He left the house after being injured and went to a nearby gas station, where deputies found him. The man was taken to a local hospital by EMS to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

A 67-year-old man was arrested and charged in the shooting. According to the Durham County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Rodney Feaster, who lives in the home where the shooting occurred, has been charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is being held without bond at the Durham County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday morning, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n
