COLUMBIA, S.C. (WJZY) \u2014 New, exclusive polling out from Queen City News and Emerson College shows there is no clear favorite to fill the Senate seat left vacant following the passing of Lindsey Graham. Voters only have a few weeks to make up their minds on who they want.<\/p>\n

South Carolina Congressman Ralph Norman told Fox Business this week that he was not ready to declare but is interested in running for the seat once held by Graham. Norman is fresh off a run for governor back in June.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason I\u2019m interested, the Senate is standing in the way of passing President Trump\u2019s agenda. They just are,\u201d said Graham.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In that Queen City News\/Emerson poll, Norman had the most support among respondents, 16.4%. Business owner Mark Lynch came in at 12.5%, with Congresswoman Nancy Mace and Lt Governor Pamela Evette hovering around 10%.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the common things you see there is somebody who has already raised campaign money, somebody who has statewide name recognition. Somebody who has a campaign team that is still together and ready to go,\u201d said Dr. Scott Hoffman with Winthrop University.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The most popular answer from respondents was undecided, coming in at 17.9%.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s all these names being bandied about. However, it will start winnowing down with official declarations; we\u2019ll know who is serious on July 21st, and we\u2019ll know the full roster of who\u2019s going to be jumping in on the 28th,\u201d added Hoffman.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And while Graham\u2019s sister Darline has been appointed to serve out the remainder of Lindsey\u2019s term that ends in January, she has not said if she will run in the primary.\u00a0<\/p>\n
