RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 Police are investigating a Sunday afternoon crash in which an SUV slammed into the front wall of a pet store in a popular Raleigh shopping district \u2014 the fourth business hit by a vehicle in central North Carolina since Wednesday.<\/p>

A police spokesperson told CBS 17 that the crash occurred around 1:55 p.m. on Brier Creek Parkway at PetSmart.<\/p>\n

The crash badly damaged an SUV, but police at the scene told CBS 17 that no injuries were reported at this time.<\/p>\n

The PetSmart crash is the fourth time a driver has smashed a vehicle into an area building or business in just four days.<\/p>\n

A Wednesday morning crash by an SUV driver damaged the Injoy Thrift Store at 1020 Liberty Lane in Rocky Mount just before 10 a.m., according to store officials and the Rocky Mount Police Department.<\/p>\n

Images from the scene showed a Toyota SUV several feet inside the store with smashed windows, destroyed merchandise, and some bricks missing from the exterior. No one was injured, according to the Rocky Mount Police.<\/p>

Early Friday morning, a car fled the scene of the Bittersweet restaurant after plowing through its outdoor seating area in downtown Raleigh. Business owners expressed grave concern about careless drivers downtown, especially overnight.<\/p>

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of traffic and bars in downtown,\u201d said Jasmine Holt, owner of All Embracing Barber and Beauty. \u201cUnfortunately, there are some drunk drivers in the middle of the night; luckily, we\u2019re not open that late.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Friday, just before noon, a Clayton driver hit a brick column outside Lowes Foods at 11711 Clayton Boulevard, according to the Clayton Police Department and a nearby store owner.<\/p>\n

A small red car that smashed into the column hit it with such force that the car spun around and stopped facing the opposite direction, said Patrick Kelly, who owns Pauper\u2019s Books & More next to Lowes. The driver of the car was taken to a hospital for medical care.<\/p>
