(WJZY) \u2014 Carowinds\u2019 signature ride, Fury 325, has reopened,\u00a0park officials\u00a0announced Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/raleighmovingnews.com\/?p=6743\">SC sheriff defends the use of Flock cameras as neighbors express privacy concerns<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s tallest giga-coaster was shut down\u00a0since July 7 after a routine maintenance inspection reportedly <strong>uncovered a foundation issue on the ride. <\/strong>Parent company Six Flags says Fury\u00a0resumed normal operation\u00a0following the successful completion of a \u201ccomprehensive foundation-related improvement and inspection.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnforgettable experiences begin with uncompromising safety, and every decision throughout this process was guided by that commitment,\u201d the company said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Six Flags says staff\u00a0detected a slight change in the foundation surrounding one the ride\u2019s support columns.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/raleighmovingnews.com\/?p=6739\">NC\u2019s first pediatric behavioral health care facility to open soon in Mecklenburg County<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Working alongside experienced engineers, maintenance professionals, third-party experts and the North Carolina Department of Labor, the park completed a series of proactive measures and complete all necessary corrections to verify that Fury 325 meets and exceeds all safety and operational requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince this issue came to our attention, the N.C. Department of Labor has worked with Carowinds, its engineering teams, and our own consulting engineers to review the repairs and supporting engineering analysis,\u201d NC Labor Secretary Luke Farley said \u201cOur inspectors were on-site to verify that all necessary repair work was completed.
