HENDERSON, N.C. (WNCN) \u2014 Two people were hurt in a shooting in Henderson Wednesday night, according to police.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to the 700 block of Marshall Street around 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of shots being fired in the area. Once on scene, police said they found a 37-year-old with a non-life-threatening wound to the head. The person received medical help at the scene before being taken to a hospital for further treatment.<\/p>\n

Shortly after that, according to the Henderson Police Department, a 26-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at a local emergency medical facility. Police said they believe the second person also sustained that injury during the same incident on Marshall Street.<\/p>\n

Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has other information that could help investigators is asked to call the Henderson Police Department at (252) 438-4141 or Henderson-Vance CrimeStoppers at (252) 492-1925. Tips can be left anonymously.<\/p>\n
